Jerry Goodman with the Alderman’s Office has advised us the City will soon be mailing renewal letters to all seniors who received sewer rebates last year. The letters ask that owners sign them and forward to the Alderman’s office to be submitted.
Seniors who don’t receive the letter may apply for the $50.00 rebate as long as they are 65 as of January 1, 2017 and live in their condo units. A completed application (link below), a copy of the property’s water bill (request from the office), a copy of the most recent property tax bill, and proof of age – usually a drivers license or State ID.
The necessary application form is available online at http://committeeonfinance.org/claims/sewer.asp, and can be completed online and printed for signature. Then submit your application to Jerry at the Alderman’s office. It will be introduced to the City Council for processing at the next monthly City Council Meeting.
