PTCA Annual Green Week Calendar of Events

FIRST – Thank you to all our Owners and Residents who take part in these activities. Collective practical action and collaboration to promote sustainable living can make a difference in the short and the long term, supporting community health and improving the well being of the Planet we all call home.

Monday April 20th – Electronics Recycling Begins

Collection bins will be by the Security Office by the back dock exit, for recycling and safe disposal of electronics. Computers, tvs, phones, radios and stereos, audio/video equipment, and smaller household appliances.

Tuesday April 21st – Safe Disposal of Household Products

Household chemicals, cleaners, painting supplies, old building materials, carpeting and other similar materials collected for safe disposal. Drop-offs in large grey bin by back Security Office.

Wednesday April 22nd – At 5pm In Party Room

“The Science Behind Double Paned Windows”

Join us for a presentation by our friends from SIGNA Systems, where they will explain the energy use advantages and comfort benefits of the double paned windows for anyone interested in learning more about upgrades.

Thursday April 23rd – Bike or Mass Transit To Work Day

Make it a collective effort! Who’s enjoying those gas prices anyway??? Avoid taking that car out – take your Bike or CTA to work and back! Bikes are weather permitting, we understand. 😊

Friday April 24th – Bike Room Registration Gets Underway

Bike spaces are available, first come first serve – annual fee of $52 for the top rack and wall spots, $78 for the bottom, or park monthly for $10/month. If you already have a spot, please check in with Vanessa or another team member in the office at parktowercondo-mgmt@habitat.com.

Saturday April 25th

Rummage Sale, Knife Sharpening, Bike Tune-Ups & Shredding

Annual Mall Area Rummage Sale from 9am to 3pm – IN THE PARK TOWER MALL! Contact our Office at 773-769-3250 or parktowercondo-mgmt@habitat.com by Friday April 24th at 12pm to reserve a table – first come first serve, otherwise BYOT. Also Knife Sharpening, by Bill of ‘Bill’s Mobile Sharpening’ 9am to 3pm, and Mobile Bike Tune-Ups with Joe of ‘On The Fly Bike Repair’ 9am into the afternoon. Both will be on the back dock. For bike tune-ups, drop your bike by 1pm to insure he can finish for you by day’s end. You can ask questions or make a specific appointment with Joe at 847-436-2453. The Mobile Shredder will be on the back dock from 1:30PM to 4:30PM!
