Your Social Committee has commited once again to producing an Independence Day Picnic. It will look a lot like years past and this year it will again be on July 4, synced with the extravagant Fireworks display by our neighboring Saddle & Cycle Club. Again this year we’ll be using wristbands for easy access. Also like last year, volunteers who work during party hours will be able to eat early, 4:30-5:15 pm, before the crowd comes in.

How can a small committee make such extravagant promises? Because we are optimistic that, like in years past, enough building residents will volunteer to make it all happen. 517 residents and guests attended the Celebration in 2025. To make this party happen, we simply must have helpers to fill the 105 or so volunteer slots that day and the day before. Please, consider and commit now. Thanks, and see you in a few weeks.

Friday, July 3

From 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
Set up and decorate Party Room and Deck
Looking for 10 Volunteers

Saturday, July 4

From 11:30 am to 1:30 pm
Finish set up and decoration of Party Room and Deck
Looking for 10 volunteers

From 2:00 to 3:30 pm
Load coolers with ice
Looking for 6 volunteers

From 2:30 to 4:30 pm
Assist caterer as needed
Looking for 3 volunteers

If you or a member of your family can volunteer for one or more of these slots, please email Sheldon at ptcasocial@rcn.com or text/call him at (773) 343-1022.  He will confirm in like manner, by email or text or phone.

By whichever method, start by saying “Sure, I can help!” in the subject line, then proceed to confirm date, time slot, perhaps the offer of a cooler .. and, for sure, the name of the Volunteer.

ORDER WRISTBANDS BY EMAIL

Owners and Registered Residents are welcome to order their own and their Guests wristbands by email from June 6 thru July 3 (by 10 am).

• Send an email to parktowercondo-mgmt@habitat.com

• Type “Independence Day Picnic” in the subject line.

• Name each Owner or Registered Resident (including children) for whom you are ordering “free” wristbands.
  • Adults must be named and on Management’s list of Owners/Registered Residents living in the building.
  • For children, simply say how many age 13 and up, how many age 12 and younger.
  • Do not order wristbands for babies in arms.

• For your Guests’ wristbands, we do not need names. Simply say how many are age 13 or older, and how many are age 12 or younger.
  • Remember, discounted rates apply from June 5 – June 25 ($20 age 13 and older, $15 age 12 and younger).
  • On and after June 26, guest wristbands will be full price ($30 age 13 and older; $25 age 12 and younger).
  • Do not order wristbands for babies in arms — they’re free!

• Double check your math and state exactly the total amount you want added to your next assessment.

• Please end the email by stating your Name and Unit Number.

You’ll receive an email notice when it’s time to pick up your wristbands from the Doorman.

One more thing. Take care not to misplace those wristbands! We’ll charge $10 to replace any Owner/Registered Resident wristband, and full price to replace those of your guests!
