Late in November, while on site, our Otis elevator technician identified problems with elevator #4 that resulted in it being taken out of service. After securing the necessary permit, and ordering and receiving the parts and materials to do the necessary work, the replacement process got underway this week.
The new cables were delivered as anticipated last week, as well as other materials needed to conduct the replacement.
The Otis team conducting the work mobilized on Wednesday December 13th as hoped, and removal of the old cables is just about wrapped up as they prepare for installation of the new ones. So far, no unknown conditions have come that would delay the process.
Should all go well, they presently anticipate completing the job by Friday December 22nd.
