As we reported, these are relatively new cables, and OTIS advised that temperature fluctuations such as we’ve seen can cause minor changes in the shafts and equipment that can require adjustments. Basically, even minor expansion and contraction of the building can lead to this happening from time to time.
When we originally reported this problem on Monday evening, OTIS believed they would have the necessary repair done sometime Wednesday or early Thursday. However, conditions were a bit more complicated than they anticipated and a specialized team will be needed to make the repair. This team is expected to be available on January 15th and work should take one day.
We sympathize with any delay and inconvenience this causes. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while this work is being coordinated and completed.
