  Celebrate The Uptown Theatre's 100th Anniversary With A Community Portrait

  At noon on Saturday, Aug. 16, Uptown neighborhood residents and fans of its endangered landmark will gather for a new portrait in front of the Uptown Theatre. Led by Friends of the Uptown with support from Uptown United and 46th Ward Ald. Angela Clay, the “Uptown Community Portrait" event recognizes the 100th anniversary of the theater and exhibits the continuing widespread support for restoring the 1925 movie palace that’s been closed since 1981. Check out the Facebook Event for more details!
