RECENT SERVICE ISSUES:
Throughout the past week, there was an uptick in reports of problems with RCN cable, internet and phone service. In part this was due to planned outages for repairs and remodeling in a unit. But this time of year, we do expect some solar related outages. This is due to the position of the sun related to the satellites which transmit signals and services. We are on the waning end of this phenomenon – in fact this generally ends in March – so any further problems less and less likely have anything to do with the sun.
If you experience any problems at all, call RCN at 312-955-2500. This is their local call center, and during most business hours Monday through Friday, you should get Chicago based customer service assistance.
Please, also take the time to inform the office when you have trouble. While there is not much we can do directly, we do monitor service problems closely should any serious problems occur or if there is a pattern to any outages which may require our attention
