PARKING WILL BE UNAVAILABLE IN THE DRIVEWAY WHILE WORKERS ARE PRESENT
During this period, the temporary fencing will be removed and the new pickets and support bars will be installed.
We understand this will be an inconvenience for anyone needing temporary parking to load an unload, and we appreciate you making alternate plans while this improvement is being made.
The pickets and bars for the new fence are now under production, and the contractors team will return to install them in a couple weeks or so. Temporary fencing is in place until that time.
Please remember, there is a 30 minute loading and unloading limit for parking on the dock or in the driveway, unless you have authorization from management or maintenance. If you need a loading dock parking pass, stop by the office during business hours, or contact us at parktowercondo-mgmt@habitat.com. And whether you need to park temporarily or otherwise, please sign in on the clipboard by the security office. Authorized or not, we sometimes need to contact vehicle owners to address a problem or have them move.
Only Moves, Deliveries And Emergency Vehicles Will Be Accommodated
Beginning August 4th Through Early September, Crews Will Get Underway On The Effort To Replace The Back Driveway Fence Bordering The Park
During this period, the old fencing will be removed and new posts will be put in place with temporary fencing. The temporary fencing will be in place while new support bars and pickets are being fabricated.
Once the materials are ready for installation, we expect the contractor to return to complete the installation. This is anticipated sometime towards the latter half of August. During that time, parking along the fence line will also be unavailable. A notice will be posted once we know the timeframe to expect.
Don’t hesitate to contact us with any problems or concerns. Best by e-mail at parktowercondo-mgmt@habitat.com or phone 773-769-3250.
Why are we doing this replacement? Well, our team led by Maintenance Engineer Patrik Janic have done an excellent job keeping this fence in place. They’ve been welding it and rewelding in, sometimes over and over in the same places, and we’ve replaced support bars and dozens of pickets over the last several years. It is just slowly disintegrating and repairs are becoming more and more challenging. So much so, we do have safety concerns for parked vehicles and pedestrians walking by.
Here is just a sample of some of the problems – some of these locations just can’t be reasonably repaired anymore.:
