NEWSLETTER COMMITTEE SEEKS WRITERS/VOLUNTEERSThe Newsletter Committee is looking for new writers to cover the Edgewater Neighborhood and Happenings in our Parks. They would participate in planning the quarterly issues of TowerTalk, then write or contribute one or two stories for each. Plans are underway now for the March-May issue, with the next committee meeting scheduled for Friday, January 5, from 6:15 to 7:30 pm in the Party Room. If interested, emailnews@ptcondo.com.

Cappleman's final term has resurfaced.You might recall the plan: convert the historic Immaculata School building into 245 apartments and include a 22 story high-rise for senior adults with supportive amenities to be constructed on the interior parking lot. This historic building has been used for over 2 years now as a temporary migrant shelter. The new announcement on the project suggests the contract with the city is likely winding down and re-development plans are revving up. Sad news as a long-time Uptown not-for-profit Inspiration Corporation is leaving Uptown after 36 years. Their "Inspiration Cafe" program that was previously operating out of the McJunkin Building at 4554 N. Broadway, will relocate to their location in East Garfield Park at 3504 W. Lake.Inspiration Corporation will be hosting an open house on August 28 from 3PM-7PM to celebrate the impact and legacy the "Inspiration Cafe" had on the area at Broadway & Wilson and the city at large.
