They will work into the evening and then return tomorrow, Saturday, to complete the repair and test the elevator. So long as the work goes as expected, they should be able to return the elevator to service sometime on Saturday.
(Elevator #4 serves the lobby and the 2nd floor, and the high rise floors 23-55.)
We were informed the selector tape, which is a fixture that helps the elevator determine where the cab is in the shaft, was damaged.
As of the drafting of this update, we are told that the necessary parts were ordered and are actually now on hand. We are just awaiting the availability of the necessary repair team, which is expected within the next couple days.
The repair itself is expected to take a couple days.
We know this is an inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while this repair is being coordinated.
