Following this, our team is planning to do a deep cleaning of the coils serving the hallway air-handling system, on Thursday and Friday.
Work has been scheduled to replace defective parts and complete balancing of the bathroom exhaust system. In order to complete that work, the system will be offline on Monday, September 29th, starting at 8AM, and is expected to be back online by about 3PM on Wednesday, October 1st.
The fan which draws air from all residential bathroom vents, and helps draw fresh air into all bathrooms, will be inoperable until the work is completed. This may be relatively unnoticeable, as the kitchen exhaust lines will continue drawing air and the hallway air-handlers will continue forcing fresh air into the hallways.
However, following the bathroom exhaust work, our team will perform deep cleaning of the coils which provide heating and cooling to the hallway air system. This is expected to take place on Thursday and Friday between 9am and 5pm. From time to time, fresh air intake to the hallways will be reduced or shutdown completely.
This maintenance work is taking place in the mechanical penthouse on the 56th floor. Residents from about the 50th floor to the 55th floor may hear noise from time to time during the day, while the repair team is working, starting around 8am Monday.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while this important repair is completed.
